Queens Tavern Serves a British Twist on the US Open’s Iconic Honey Deuce

With the US Open around the corner, Queens Tavern in Hudson Yards is putting its own spin on one of tennis’ most iconic cocktails: the Honey Deuce.

Opened this spring by London-based hospitality group Evolv Collection, Queens Tavern brings the feel of a classic British pub to Manhattan with elevated comfort food, expertly poured pints, and a lively setting perfect for watching the biggest sporting moments of the season.

The original Honey Deuce has become synonymous with the US Open, combining vodka, lemonade, raspberry liqueur, and honeydew melon “tennis balls.” Queens Tavern’s version adds a British influence with dry vermouth, honey syrup, and clear apple liqueur, creating a more complex take while maintaining the refreshing character of the classic.

Queens Tavern Honey Deuce

  • 1⅓ oz Grey Goose Vodka
  • ½ oz Dry Vermouth
  • ⅔ oz Clear Apple Liqueur
  • ½ oz Honey Syrup
  • Top with Lemonade
  • Garnish: Three fresh honeydew melon balls

A perfect example of how bartenders can take an iconic seasonal serve and add their own perspective, Queens Tavern’s Honey Deuce celebrates both the tradition of the tournament and the creativity behind modern cocktail programs.
