South Beach Seafood Festival Returns with Bartender Showdowns, Chef Battles & South Florida’s Best Hospitality Talent

The 14th annual festival brought thousands to Miami Beach for four days of culinary celebrations, featuring two bartender competitions, nine chef battles, and more than 40 participating restaurants.

Miami Beach brought the heat this October as the 14th Annual South Beach Seafood Festival returned for four days of food, drinks, and hospitality celebrations. Held October 21–24, the festival welcomed thousands of guests and brought together some of South Florida’s most talented chefs, bartenders, restaurants, and beverage brands.

Brought to you by Tequila Herradura and Jack Daniel’s, presented by GOYA Foods, and hosted in partnership with Breakthru Beverage Florida, this year’s festival introduced several new experiences, including its inaugural Made in Miami collaborative dinner, an oyster-shucking competition, and two bartender competitions that put local cocktail talent in the spotlight.

For the bar community, Friday’s Tequila Herradura VIP Chef Showdown was a major highlight, featuring two separate bartender competitions alongside nine head-to-head chef battles.

Bartenders Take Center Stage

The festival expanded its competitive lineup this year with the Tequila Herradura Bartender Showdown and the Pacifico Beer Bartender Competition, giving local mixologists an opportunity to showcase their creativity and compete for championship titles.

The Tequila Herradura Bartender Showdown challenged five local bartenders to create original tequila cocktails before finalists faced a live mystery-ingredient challenge for a $500 grand prize.

The second competition, the Pacifico Beer Bartender Showdown, featured three additional mixologists representing participating Chef Showdown restaurants. Competitors were challenged to create original cocktails featuring Cerveza Pacifico Clara, with a $1,000 prize on the line.

Emely Saavedra of American Social claimed the championship with her winning creation:

Both competitions highlighted the creativity behind today’s bar programs and gave local bartenders an opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the South Florida hospitality community.

Celebrating South Florida Hospitality

Beyond the food and competitions, the South Beach Seafood Festival continues to create opportunities for the hospitality community to connect, collaborate, and celebrate the talent that makes South Florida such an exciting destination for food and beverage.

“Every year, we’re reminded just how much culinary talent we have right here in South Florida, and this year’s festival gave us more opportunities than ever to celebrate it,” said Valerie Roy, Director of Marketing and Client Strategy at CI Management.

With another successful year in the books, the South Beach Seafood Festival is already looking ahead to its 15th anniversary.
