Award-winning mezcal brand Dos Hombres, co-founded by Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, is taking the next step in its agave journey with the launch of its first-ever artisanal tequilas: Blanco and Reposado, accompanied by a refreshed brand design. These premium expressions are crafted in collaboration with Tequilera Tap Distillery in Amatitán, Jalisco, under the guidance of maestro tequilero Julio Cova, who came out of retirement after nearly 40 years to bring the vision to life.
Both Blanco and Reposado tequilas are double distilled from 100% slow-roasted Tequilana Blue Weber agave using deep earth volcanic water. The agave is nurtured with organic fertilizers, and leftover agave leaves are returned to the soil to restore nutrients. After a one- to two-year rest period, the agave is cooked in autoclaves and traditional brick ovens, crushed in roller mills, and distilled in copper and stainless steel stills. The tequila then rests for up to 30 days in open-air fermentation vats, allowing native wild yeasts and local vegetation to influence flavor. The result is smooth, approachable, and full of distinctive character.
Alongside the tequila launch, Dos Hombres introduces a refreshed bottle and label design, featuring vibrant colors, modern typography, and updated brand elements while keeping signature donkeys, agave plants, and ingredient transparency. The brand signals a new era, with Dos Hombres Añejo expected in early 2027 and additional expressions in the pipeline.
