BARTENDER Magazine’s 26 for 26: Victor Lopez

Euclides López Morales—known to many friends and family as Victor López—was born in Piaxtla, Puebla, México, and moved to New York City in 1997. He worked his way up through hospitality as a dishwasher, delivery courier, prep cook, and line cook before discovering his passion behind the bar. Since 2012, he has honed his craft under respected mentorship and now co-operates a Mexican-inspired cocktail program in the West Village. Drawing equally from his roots in Mexico and his life in New York, Victor creates inventive, delicious cocktails that celebrate heritage, craft, and genuine hospitality.
