Featured Bartender July 2025: Nicole Giampino, Clemente Bar, NYC

Nicole Giampino is an award-winning bartender and accomplished operator, widely recognized as one of the most talented and respected professionals in the hospitality industry. Currently serving as the head bartender and one of the leaders at Clemente Bar—the newest cocktail destination from Eleven Madison Park. In the 10 months working at Clemente Bar, Nicole has helped the team earn the 11th spot on North America’s 50 Best Bars list. In addition to being named #11, the team also received the Three Cents Best New Opening Award from North America’s 50 Best Bars and was recently nominated as a Top Four Finalist for Best New U.S. Cocktail Bar from Tales of the Cocktail 2025 spirited awards. Nicole brings an exceptional level of creativity, precision, and leadership to every aspect of the guest experience.

Prior to joining Clemente Bar, Nicole played a pivotal role in shaping the Phoenix bar scene as the bar manager and head bartender at Century Grand. Under her and the rest of the leadership team’s direction, the concept rose to national prominence, earning unprecedented accolades for a bar from a small market. These include Best U.S. Cocktail Bar in 2023 by the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation—marking a historic first for Phoenix—as well as repeated recognition on the North America’s 50 Best Bars list. The venue was also named a Top 4 finalist for Best U.S. Bar Team and Best New Bar by Tales of the Cocktail.

Nicole herself has been celebrated for her contributions and expertise, most notably as a 2024 Top 10 finalist for U.S. Bartender of the Year from Tales of The Cocktail Foundation, further solidifying her reputation as a powerhouse in the world of cocktails and bar operations.
