Jameson is celebrating its more than 200-year history with the launch of Jameson Distiller’s Batch, a new premium expression that looks to the brand’s earliest whiskey-making traditions while showcasing the innovation of modern Irish whiskey.
Part of the Jameson Reserve Series, Distiller’s Batch is inspired by the Single Pot Still tradition — the quintessential style of Irish whiskey making that helped define the earliest Jameson recipes. Triple distilled in copper pot stills from a mash of malted and unmalted barley, Single Pot Still whiskey remains a signature expression of Irish craftsmanship.
Crafted by Master Distiller Kevin O’Gorman at Midleton Distillery, Jameson Distiller’s Batch is matured across five hand-selected oak cask types, including:
The combination of these casks creates a whiskey with added depth and complexity while maintaining the smooth texture and approachable character that has defined Jameson for generations.
Jameson Distiller’s Batch opens with notes of toasted oak, honeycomb, salted caramel, and warming baking spices, followed by layers of dark chocolate, spicy toffee, cinnamon, ginger, and orange peel. The influence of the various oak casks adds subtle smoked wood tones and delicate tannins, balanced by Jameson’s signature smoothness.
For bartenders, the whiskey offers an opportunity to showcase a more elevated side of the Jameson portfolio. While designed to be enjoyed neat, its depth and spice profile make it a natural fit for spirit-forward classics like a Manhattan, where the whiskey’s complexity can shine.
