Celebrating National Absinthe Day
National Absinthe Day is an opportunity to honor the history and legacy of this iconic spirit. As we raise a glass to Lucid on this special day, Lucid Absinthe invites you to join them in a cocktail and a Facebook chat with Ted Breaux, known as "The father of modern Absinthe."
The event will be live from the Combier Distillery in France, where Lucid is made. Fans can check the Lucid Absinthe Facebook page for the event times and giveaways.
Embracing the Green Hour Tradition
In the 1860s, 5 pm was known as l'heure verte or The Green Hour, a time when absinthe was traditionally consumed. This classic cocktail pays homage to that era, featuring a blend of melon liqueur, ginger ale, and fresh lime.
Another cocktail option is the lemon-lime soda and pineapple juice-based drink, which also incorporates the signature green hue of absinthe alongside fresh mint and lime.
