One of the most significant events in brown spirits, WhiskyFest 2019 continues its cross-country tour and pours into Washington, DC on April 10th.
WhiskyFest 2019 showcases over 350 incredible spirits from around the globe in one unbelievable location. If you are looking to taste the rarest and most coveted brown nectar on the planet, this is the place to do it!
The newest offerings in the world of whisky (and whiskey), from spectacularly aged scotches, to single barrel specialties, to exceptional library expressions unavailable anywhere else. Delectable drams from around the globe; India, Ireland, United States, Taiwan, Scotland, and Japan all unearth their liquid treasures to share.
Any Bartender worth his or her shaker can expand their knowledge here, and talk directly to Master Distillers, Master Blenders or up their game by attending one of the multiple seminars offered throughout WhiskyFest.
The special event only seminars range from; guided tastings of remarkable rare bottles opened only here, to in-depth discussions of new expressions from major labels, to the esoteric exploration of the life of a whiskey barrel. WhiskyFest is an overall opportunity to discover much more about whiskey, bourbon, and rye with access to an unparalleled range of experts in the industry.
Maybe you would like to taste some incredible liquid artistry, so rare as to be unobtainable for the average person? Well, they are all here for your sublime tasting pleasure. Michters 10yr and Toasted Barrel, Suntory Hibiki 17yr, Nikka from the Barrel, (recently voted Whiskey of the Year), Bruichladdich’s Port Charlotte Islay Barley 2011, Parker’s Heritage, and yes the one and only Pappy Van Winkle, to drop a few names.
Two tiers of tickets are available; general admission for $275 and a VIP ticket for $345. A VIP ticket gets you in an hour sooner, and I can assure you it is worth it. The tasty Unicorns run out quickly so, the earlier you are inside, the better your chances are of tasting the impossible.
