About Sarah “SKu” Ku

With roots in California and Taiwan, Sarah “SKu” Ku has been a part of the industry for the past decade. Since moving to the East Coast, she has spent time in both New York and New Jersey behind the stick and sometimes on top of the bar. Starting her career at a college sports bar in San Jose, she has been involved with iconic teams such as The Nomad, Porchlight, and most recently, Hello Hello, where she is currently the manager (and occasional bottle service person). On occasion, she loves to pick up a church key at 169 Bar, unless there’s a fun concert with a great mosh pit. But no matter where she is, she has the same philosophy: “make every moment a good one. And if it can’t be a good one, make it an interesting one.”
