The Return of Brooklyn Bar Convent 2026

Bar Convent Brooklyn hits Industry City again this year with a full line up of brands, speakers, and events

I must confess after many years in the industry, last year was my first year in attendance (long time listener, first time caller), I was not sure what to expect outside of what I saw on social media and heard from friends and colleagues. I was not let down as it is a full conference, and the amount of networking was well worth it with over 275+ vendors in attendance. It was quite the whirl wind of booths and a record for the BCB organization. All show floors were always busy with attendees engaging with the many brand ambassadors, owners, distillers, and executives. It was also a great event to connect with friends in attendance. Naturally, you had some celebrity names in attendance with their individual brands including Ja Rule with Amber and Opal, Dolph Lundgren with Hard Cut Vodka, and Ian Somerhalder with Brother’s Bond Bourbon. I am curious what celebrities will be making appearances this year in a crowded category of spirits. There was also worldwide representation this year with specific areas dedicated to regions of production and countries from Japan to Italy to Peru. All corners of the world were featured which is always appreciated. This year they have the same global representation slated for the exhibition floors. The one floor that stood out to me was the emerging brands; it is always fun to see what new things are coming down the pipeline for us in the industry. On the convention floor we can expect to see the addition of Wine and RTD options this year as they expand the diversity of brands on the main floor. I did notice the Low and No segment was strongly represented last year from seminars to brands on the show floor. They will continue to be represented this year. Let’s not forget the seminars and workshops which are in my opinion the best part of the convention. Last year’s educational seminars were well thought out and covered a wide range of topics. This year our friend Lynnette Marrero is once again serving as the Head of Education and a panel of other notable industry movers and shakers. With such a line up, you come to expect great educational seminars. On the docket this year includes seminars on a wide variety of topics ranging from global influences, experiential concepts, and adapting business strategies. Some of the seminars include Latin American bar Culture, nature driven bar concepts, flavors, menu engineering, and some new hands-on workshops. I am curious to see the final line up. Tickets are now live online. We will see you there!
