A signature Tanqueray martini from The Citizens Trust.
♦ Difficulty Level: Moderate
BARTENDER Magazine’s Recommended Spirit: Tanqueray Gin
♦ 3.25oz French Onion-Washed Tanqueray LDG & Dry Vermouth
♦ Sour Cream & Onion Potato Chip Garnish
1. 1. Combine 12oz of Tanqueray LDG with 6oz of Dry Vermouth.
2. 2. In a separate container combine 3.5oz of French Onion Dip and 1oz of Whole Milk; mix to incorporate.
3. 3. Add spirit base to French Onion Wash and give a quick stir with a spoon. Allow to curdle for at least an hour but preferably overnight.
3. 4. Pass through a nut milk bag, dampened oil cone filter, or other semi-permeable filter (that isn’t a coffee filter). Allow batch to stream until it runs clear then transfer strainer to a new container and add back the cloudy liquid. Allow to strain for 8-12 hours.
3. 5. Add 3.25oz of strained batch to a mixing glass with ice and stir until chilled and diluted. Pour into a Nick & Nora and serve with a small side of Sour Cream & Onion potato chips.
