Inspired by the feeling of a private home bar in Latin America during the 1960s and 70s, LOMA combines vintage influences with a thoughtful cocktail program, creating a space that feels both elevated and welcoming. The bar’s atmosphere is shaped by warm design elements, a carefully curated soundtrack of Latin jazz, boleros, and vintage salsa, and a commitment to making every guest feel like they have been invited into someone’s home.
At the heart of LOMA is a belief that great bars should feel approachable. The team has created what they describe as a private club where everyone is invited — an elevated experience without the exclusivity or pretense often associated with cocktail culture.
The bar’s cocktail program celebrates both tradition and creativity, featuring inventive cocktails alongside a carefully selected spirits collection. Each month, LOMA highlights “featured spirits” on its backbar, pairing each with classic cocktails to create an approachable way for guests to discover new categories and learn more about the bottles behind the bar.
Since opening just 1.5 years ago, LOMA has quickly earned national recognition, becoming a Tales of the Cocktail Honoree and the 2026 James Beard Award winner for Best New Bar in the country — both firsts for the state of Rhode Island.
