Campari Group, the sixth-largest spirits company in the world, has announced two key leadership changes. Melanie Batchelor has been promoted to Managing Director of Campari America, where her leadership and vision have been instrumental in building the strategy for some of the world's most iconic spirits brands, contributing to Campari's growth in Australia, Canada, and the U.S.
Additionally, Ugo Fiorenzo, who has led the U.S. market for the past seven years and oversaw the company's doubling in size and relocation from San Francisco to New York City, will succeed Mauro Caneschi and take on the role of Managing Director, Business Unit Americas.
The Newest Innovation from Campari Group: Mayenda Tequila
Mayenda, a new luxury sipping tequila created to capture lost flavors from the heart of the agave, has launched in the United States and Mexico with the introduction of Mayenda Tequila Blanco. Mayenda's pioneering process adds two extra steps of craft and care to ensure the deep flavors and aromas of cooked agave, which are often lost in tequila-making, appear in the bottle.
Each small batch of Mayenda Tequila Blanco is carefully crafted at Casa San Nicolás, in Arandas, Jalisco, to ensure a tequila of the highest quality that honors the agave. The deepest flavors of agave are unearthed by macerating the roasted piñas (agave hearts) in the base distillate and blending with agave miel, the "honey" from the agave cooking.
